⋗︎ Chapter 1 – Birth

Isolation Room

Context and Objectives (Story Spoilers)

You are a software engineer at Union Plaza and your task is to assess anomalies in a software called ASN. To navigate through Union Plaza, a User ID is required, which can be printed at the M.A.C.H Terminal in your Isolation Room.

You will quickly discover that there has been an incident and that you must find the ASN Access Code and Kei Koyama’s ID to shut the ASN down.

Pick up your Space Helmet and approach the M.A.C.H Terminal, then complete the Release Form and print your User ID. Unfortunately, the User ID will fall as soon as you try to take it. Crouch and look under the terminal to retrieve it, then leave the Isolation Room.


Lobby

Turn left and walk to the end of the corridor, then open the door on the right. Enter the Meeting Room and take the CAT from the table. It’s missing a Battery, which can be found in the Storage Room next door. To get familiar with the CAT, approach the screen and carefully read each slide, then press the Wireless Access Button to connect the device:

Open the Database to learn the Arrival Elevator Pin. Exit Meeting Room 01 and approach the door on the opposite side of the corridor. Use the Arrival Elevator Pin to open it, then head to the Gateway.


Gateway

Note the Automated Security Network (ASN) Terminal on the left. It requires the ASN Access Code and Kei Koyama’s ID.

Turn around and approach the shutter in front of the Tram Station. Look up and locate the fuse box connected to the shutter. Shoot it with the CAT to override it and raise the shutter:

Enter the Tram Station and board the tram, then travel to the Mall Station.


Mall Station

Meet IC at the reception and follow them to the Check-in Terminal. Log in with your User ID, which is randomly generated in each playthrough and can be seen by looking down:

Select any reason for your visit to complete the check-in. Unfortunately, an error will occur. Ask IC for assistance by pressing the red button at the reception, then follow them to the staff-only ladder access and climb down the ladder.


The Mall (ASN Access Code)

A shutter is blocking the way to the Mall, and a magnetic field is interfering with your CAT. Examine your CAT and press the DEGAUSS Button – it’s the one in the top right. Shoot the fuse box in the corner to open the vent, then crawl through it and press the red button at the end to open the hatch.

Context and Objectives (Story Spoilers)

You are now in the Mall, a hostile place guarded by malfunctioning Type 05 androids. As soon as you follow the next steps, they will begin attacking you. Try to avoid them as much as possible.

The Mall is divided into two sections:

  • West: Exit Elevator, Galaxy Video, Maintenance Room
  • East: MEGAZONE, Playground, O’Neill’s Electronics

The ASN Access Code can be revealed using the Ultraview Module for the CAT, available in O’Neill’s Electronics. The shutters leading to O’Neill’s Electronics are closed, but can be opened in the MEGAZONE.

Try to leave the room, then crouch and press the red button under the self-checkout. A hostile Type 05 android will open the door and attack you. Shoot its chest twice to disable it temporarily and unlock the missable C.O.R.E. achievement:

Locate the MEGAZONE and crawl under the shutter. Two of the arcade machines are powered up: GUNZONE and MINOTAUR. Play one round in either to unlock the missable MEGAZONE achievement:

Approach the MAD HOG arcade machines and look up to discover a fuse box. Shoot it with the CAT to unlock the door to the Security Office. Enter it, interact with the terminal, and open the Playground door. Note that the Mall Exit shutter cannot be opened yet.

Exit the MEGAZONE and follow the corridor on the left to O’Neill’s Electronics. Pick up the Ultraview Module in front of the Ultraview Demo Area and equip it:

You can now see hidden messages, traces, and fingerprints. Try to leave the store; the doors will shut right in front of you. To unlock it, interact with the terminal in the office. Open the keypad and look through the CAT with the Ultraview Module, then sort the digits based on the quality of the fingerprints to get the randomly generated code. With access granted, you can now open the door again and leave O’Neill’s Electronics.

Head to the other side of the mall and locate Galaxy Video. Use the Ultraview Module to unlock the Maintenance Room – you need to align the keypad to match the fingerprints. Note that there might be multiple alignment possibilities. Once unlocked, enter the Maintenance Room and lean to the right in the cable shaft to locate the Exit Shutters Relay Box:

Shoot the box with the CAT, then head back to the MEGAZONE and raise the Exit Shutters, opening the way to the elevator. Reach the elevator and exit the Mall.


⋗︎ Chapter 2 – Incision

Living Quarters Station

Head to the tram and select the Living Quarters Station as your destination. In the Living Quarters Station, approach the Door Access Terminal and crouch in front of it, then interact with the switch at the bottom of the terminal twice to restart it. Open the door to the elevator and ride it up to the Living Quarters.

Living Quarters (Kei Koyama’s ID)

Context and Objectives (Story Spoilers)

You are now in the Living Quarters, another hostile area guarded by Type 05 androids. As soon as you follow the next steps, they will begin attacking you. Try to avoid them as much as possible.

The Living Quarters are divided into two sections:

  • North: Reception and Block C
  • West: Block B, Laundrette, and CCTV Room

Kei Koyama’s ID is in his apartment on the other side of the Laundrette. Unfortunately, the Laundrette is locked due to fire protocols, which can be lifted in the Reception after discovering the Reception Code in the CCTV Room.

Interact with the Check-in Terminal and enter your User ID (the one you wear on your chest), then watch the advertisement. Once done, walk straight ahead past the Reception to Block C, then shoot the fuse box on the ceiling with the CAT to open the door at the end of the corridor:

Head through the door and turn left to reach another Meeting Room. Crawl under the table to access the vents and the CCTV Room on the other side.

Interact with the CCTV Terminal and select the Camera application. Switch to the Reception feed and zoom in on the sticky notes to get the randomly generated Reception Code:

Open the door on the CCTV Terminal, then pass the Laundrette on the left and make your way through Block B back to the Reception near Block C. Open the Reception door with the code from the CCTV Room, then disable the fire alarm.

Enter the Laundrette at the end of Block B and locate Kei Koyama’s Apartment. Pick up his ID from the M.A.C.H Terminal:

As soon as you try to leave the Living Quarters through Block B, the door will close. Therefore, exit the Laundrette and turn right to the CCTV Room, then crawl through the vent and leave the Living Quarters through Block C.

Enter the tram and head back to the Gateway, then interact with the ASN Terminal. Scan Kei Koyama’s ID and use the Ultraview Module to reveal the ASN Access Code (fingerprints), then shoot the IC on the left with the CAT:

Enter the elevator behind the terminal to reach the ASN.


⋗︎ Chapter 3 – Re-Create

ASN

Walk straight ahead and access the ASN Overview Terminal, then close all messages and initiate the shutdown sequence. Next, locate the ASN Safety Terminal and identify the nodes that must be lowered to continue. Lower these nodes in the center, then access the ASN Override Terminal and confirm the warning. Finally, operate both switches in the center to expose the CORE and overload it with the CAT.

⋗︎ Chapter 4 – Adrift

The Ward

Context and Objectives (Story Spoilers)

You are now in the Ward, where an alien will appear once the Servers are rebooted. Fortunately, it can be tracked by its sounds, and it cannot follow you into the Control Room or narrow spaces.

The Ward is divided into four sections:

  • The Pass: Re-Entry Chamber, The Canal,
  • Control Room: Archives
  • Commons: Airlock Lift, Reception, Systems, Servers, Prong 01 & 02
  • Imaging: Echography

To open the Canal door at the end of the blue-lit corridor, you must perform a Lunar Echography after obtaining Security Clearance 3. The clearance is granted at William Davis’ Terminal in the Annex Station, which becomes accessible after rebooting the Archives, obtaining the Interface Module for the CAT, and upgrading it to Security Level 2.

Exit the Re-Entry Chamber and immediately turn left. Follow the path to the inactive Archive Terminal and crawl through the vent on the right:

Interact with the Breaker and activate The Archives, then crawl back to the Archive Terminal and begin the reboot. Unfortunately, the Interface Module for the CAT is required to proceed.

Walk past the terminal and turn left in the circular area with the tree, then interact with Henry’s Terminal near the Reception and watch the media entry titled Entity A – Markings to unlock the missable Entity A achievement:

Next, crawl through the vent between the Reception and the (Airlock) Elevator Entrance. The vent leads to the Reception, where you can find the Interface Module on the desk. Equip the module and use the CAT to open the Reception door from the inside.

Head back to the Archive Terminal and try to reboot the system again. Use the Interface Module to authorize on the monitor above the terminal. Unfortunately, the servers are down and must be restarted. Interact with the nearby Breaker and activate Door Systems, then enter the circular area with the tree and go through the door straight ahead. Locate and face the Servers door, then follow the small corridor on the left to find another Breaker. Activate Lift Servers, go through the Servers door, and ride the elevator down.

Interact with the Server Terminal at the end of the corridor and run the Diagnostics application, then press the Wireless Access Button on the CAT. The check will identify four damaged items, which must be pulled out in the corridor. Once done, reboot the Servers at the terminal and follow the next steps by standing on the highlighted area and authorizing yourself with the Interface Module, then quickly return to the elevator and repeatedly press the first button to escape.

Head back to the Archive Terminal through the Systems door (it will close but can be re-activated with the same Breaker you used to activate the Servers door). Next, activate The Archives on the nearby Breaker again and try to reboot the application one last time. Once done, read the diary entry The Vestibule to learn the code for Kali’s Locker. Locate the locker in the Commons area:

Inside the locker is a Code Diagram and four photos of nearby locations:

  • the tree in the circular area,
  • the water hoses by the Servers door in the Commons area,
  • the inside of the Reception in the Commons area, and
  • the sink in the Restroom in the Commons area.

In each of these locations is a symbol hidden that can be revealed with the Ultraview Module. Note that some locations might be within magnetic fields and you need to enable the DEGAUSS Button on the CAT (the one in the top right).

Find and note down all four symbols, then match them with the Code Diagram to get the code for the shutter in the Restroom. There is one symbol per column, and the symbols correspond to the following digits:

Translate the symbols from left to right to get the code. Enter the code in the Restroom and reach the Vestibule.

Vestibule

Begin the Alignment Process and complete the Optical Tests in Room 01 (select any answers), then proceed to Room 02 and complete the Auditory Tests. Once done, drain and enter the Basin to find James Mason’s User ID:

Leave the Basin and head to Mason’s Terminal at the other end of the corridor. Enter his User ID, open the Security application, and upgrade the Interface Module to Security Level 2 (use the CAT on the screen).

Finally, return to the Breaker between the Reception and the (Airlock) Elevator Entrance. Activate Lift Entrance, then ride the elevator up to the surface and open the airlock.


⋗︎ Chapter 5 – Endure

Walk across the Lunar Surface to the Annex Station and pass through the airlock using the Interface Module, then take the elevator down to the Botany.

Annex Station

Context and Objectives (Story Spoilers)

You are now in the Annex Station, where an alien will appear once you discover Maria Ivanov’s User ID in the Mess Hall. Similar to the alien in the Ward, it cannot follow you into narrow spaces.

The Annex Station is divided into two sections:

  • North: Decontamination Chamber, Main Control Laboratory
  • Main Wing: Founder’s Office, Chemical Laboratory, Mess Hall, Cistern, Solace

You can upgrade the Interface Module to Security Level 3 in the Founder’s Office, accessible via the flooded Overflow tunnels. To reroute the water, you must first compile the EL-9 Disinfectant in the Chemical Laboratory, then locate William Davis’s User ID in the Main Control Laboratory, and finally turn the valve in the Cistern.

Enter the Decontamination Chamber straight ahead, then turn around and enter the Main Wing. Locate Laboratory 01 on the right and crawl through the vent, then note the flooded Overflow and proceed to the Mess Hall. Take a closer look at Maria Ivanov’s User ID on one of the central tables:

Enter her User ID in Maria’s Terminal and start the EXE application, then leave the Mess Hall through the newly opened door. Next, crawl through the vent in the Solace to reach the Chemical Laboratory and compile the EL-9 Disinfectant:

  • Base: Isopropyl Alcohol
  • Active 01: Copper Ions
  • Active 02: Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Stabilizer: EDTA

Backtrack through the Mess Hall and crawl under the door back to the Overflow, then enter the Decontamination Chamber again. Inspect William Davis’s User ID in the Main Control Laboratory:

Return to the Mess Hall and locate the Access Override Terminal in the Cistern. Enter William Davis’s User ID to raise the shutter, then climb down the ladder and make your way through the tunnels to a valve. Turn it to reroute the water from the Overflow to the Cistern, then quickly turn around and run back to the ladder.

Once you are back in the Mess Hall, crawl under the door to the Overflow and climb down the ladder. Navigate through the tunnels to the Founder’s Office, enter William Davis’s User ID in William’s Terminal, and upgrade your Interface Module to Security Level 3.

Exit the Founder’s Office through the Overflow tunnels and the Annex Station through the airlock. Walk across the Lunar Surface to the Ward.


⋗︎ Chapter 6 – Legacy

Take the elevator down to the Commons area and approach the Breaker on the left. Deactivate Lift Entrance and activate Prong 01, then proceed to Prong 01 next to the Reception. Interact with the Prong Control to adjust Proximity and Clarity.

Head back to the Breaker near the Servers door in the Commons area and activate Prong 02. Turn around and walk straight ahead to Prong 02, then adjust Proximity and Clarity again.

Return to the Breaker near the Archive Terminal and activate Door Imaging 01 (you can deactivate Door Systems), then enter the circular area with the tree and go through the door on the right. Pass the Echography Room and reach the Breaker at the end of the corridor. Activate Echography, then start the Lunar Echography in the Echography Room.

Finally, exit the Echography Room and turn right. Follow the corridor to the Ripening and Induction Terminal, then inject the Amniotic Brine to activate the Canal airlock. Leave the Imaging area and walk past the Archive Terminal toward the Re-Entry Chamber, which will trigger an attack from the alien – repeatedly press the Interaction Button to break free. Then reach the end of the blue-lit corridor and open the airlock to the Canal. Walk through the Caves to complete the game:
