Roadmap
Step One (8 hours)
- Set the difficulty to Normal.
- Complete the game without dying.
- Take a picture of all 10 possums.
- Find all three collectible photos and put them in the storage box.
- Place the Cigarettes on the ashtray in the Inner Home area (Clock Tower).
- Make a manual save before the final Tape Keeper boss fight to reach all three endings.
Step Two (3 hours)
- Complete the game on Challenge difficulty.
Step Three (1 hour)
- Set the difficulty to Normal.
- Complete the game within 60 minutes.

The game features three endings, with each one depending on the number of collectible photos inserted into the machine in the Archive.
Collectible Photos
Ending Conditions
- Stays Ending ⇢ Insert 0 Photos
- Leaves Ending ⇢ Insert 1 or 2 Photos
- Leaves+ Ending ⇢ Insert all 3 Photos
To unlock all endings in a single playthrough, collect all three photos, place them in the storage box (to save inventory space), and make a manual save before the final Tape Keeper boss fight. Use this save as the starting point for each ending.

Neighborhood Photo
- Find the House Key in the Corner Store.
- Pick up the Baseball Bat on the Baseball Field.
- Use the House Key to enter the Old House.
- Place the Baseball Bat in your old bedroom to obtain the Model Train.
- Enter the Garage outside the Old House and solve the Fusebox Puzzle.
- Use the Model Train on the model railway to get the Padlock Key.
- Use the Padlock Key to access the winter garden next to the Old House.
- Pick up the Garden Photo in the winter garden.
Cave Photo
- Use the Hexagon Crank to raise the dam at the river.
- Head downstairs to the Caves and locate a locked gate.
- Enter this sequence into the terminal:

Clock Tower Photo
- Enter the Subway through the Gamma door in the Dining Room on the first floor.
- Follow this ledge on the very left-hand side:

You died
Die once. Note that dying will void the Immortal achievement.

Immortal
Beat the game without dying
Complete the game without dying. If you die, all saves from your current playthrough will register the death. Therefore, it’s recommended to regularly back up your save files (see Overview section for save file location).
The achievement unlocks on the stats screen after the credits.

Dash
Beat the game in under 1 hour

Run
Beat the game in under 2 hours
Complete the game in less than 1 hour. Tips:
- Set the difficulty to Normal and only save in the Archive.
- Collect the Burst Mod in the Old House to speed up boss fights.
- Avoid fighting non-boss enemies, especially stone statue enemies.
- Skip cutscenes (hold LMB) as they count towards the total playing time.
- Menu and transition times do not count towards the total playing time.
Please refer to the Speedrun Walkthrough for optimized routes and reference times.
Both achievements unlock on the stats screen after the credits.

The Only Way Out Is Through
Beat the game on Hard mode
Complete the game on Challenge difficulty. Tips:
- Save often and only use healing items if necessary.
- Put the Cigarettes in the storage box to save inventory space.
- Collect the Burst Mod in the Old House to speed up boss fights.
- Avoid fighting non-boss enemies, especially stone statue enemies.

Speedrun Walkthrough
Abandoned House
- Pick up and equip the Camera, then enter the Abandoned House.
- Enter the Basement (ROSE) and find the first Emblem Part.
- Back in the Foyer, enter the Family Room through the eastern door.
- Pass through the Dining Room and pick up the Attic Key in the Master Bedroom upstairs.
- Solve the clock puzzle (12:15) and find the second Emblem Part.
- Combine the Emblem Parts and use the Heart Emblem on the rose door in the Attic.
Archive
- Save (sub 00:06:00).
Neighborhood
- Light the candle in the Water House (between the Old House and the Corner Store).
- Pick up the House Key in the Corner Store.
- Locate the Baseball Field, solve the puzzle (run counter-clockwise), then light the candle.
- Enter the Old House and pass through the Void Hall to your old bedroom.
- Solve the tactical chess puzzle (E3 to G5) to obtain the Burst Mod.
- Apply the Burst Mod to your camera.
- Leave the Old House and walk through the Snowy Hallway.
- Light the candle in the Apartment building.
- Enter the Funeral Home and find the Crowbar in the Warehouse.
- Leave the Warehouse through the shutter.
- Use the Crowbar to open the front door of the bus blocking the way to the west.
- Defeat the Spider.
Archive
- Place the Neighborhood Page on the ancient tome to unlock the next area.
- Save (sub 00:22:00).
Wilderness
- Pick up the Watermill Key under the bridge by the river.
- Do not cross the bridge. Instead, go to the Parking Lot and activate the switch.
- Enter the Watermill House and solve the piano puzzle (C-D-D#-G-F-D-D#-F).
- Activate the switch in the cave behind the waterfall, then find the Boltcutters.
- Activate the switch by the Watermill House, on the other side of the small river.
- Reach the Fork, then go north to the Overlook.
- Solve the telescope puzzle (Cassiopeia-Cetus-Andromeda) to get the Blood Kit.
- Pass the Electric Poles and go to the Train in the northeast.
- Solve the crate puzzle and activate the switch.
- Use the Blood Kit on the dead doe in the center of the maze-like Clearing.
- Leave the Clearing through the western exit and empty the Blood Kit into the Library basin.
- Activate the switch in the southern part of the Clearing, then leave through the southern exit.
- Locate the Heart in the far east and activate the switch.
- Head back to the Electric Poles, then use the Boltcutters on the gate.
- Activate the final switch and start the generator.
- Return to the Heart and pick up the Hexagon Crank.
- Use the Hexagon Crank to raise the dam at the river.
- Head downstairs to the Caves, then defeat the Deer.
Archive
- Place the Wilderness Page on the ancient tome to unlock the next area.
- Save (sub 00:35:00).
Clock Tower
- Pick up the Delta Emblem from the table in the Entrance Hall.
- Go west to the Dining Room and enter the Hallway to the north.
- Pick up the Gamma Emblem in the Hole Room (northeastern door).
- Enter the Hospital through the Delta door.
- Solve the buttons puzzle (TV-Doors-Desk-Medical Bed) to get the Crucifix.
- Enter the Subway through the Gamma door in the Dining Room on the first floor.
- Solve the department puzzle (Red-Green-Blue-Yellow) to get the Work ID.
- Place the Crucifix and the Work ID in the display case in the Entrance Hall.
- Take the elevator to the third floor and enter the Hallway to the west.
- Head north and enter the Cage area. Get the Beta Emblem.
- Back in the third-floor Hallway, open the eastern door to the Library.
- Enter the Gallery on the other side of the Library.
- Solve the word puzzle (Dwell-Dread-Desire-Deprive) to get the Omega Emblem.
- Leave the Library through the southern door, then reach the Garden to the east.
- Enter the Home through the Omega door.
- Solve the emblem-sliding puzzle to get the Eulogy.
- Take the elevator to the second floor, go east, then north to the Library.
- Enter the School through the Beta door.
- Solve the classroom puzzle (all answers are valid) to get the Videotape.
- Place the Eulogy and the Videotape in the display case in the Entrance Hall.
- Take the elevator to the top floor.
Archive
- Place the Clock Tower Page on the ancient tome.
- Save (sub 00:52:00).
- Pick up the Ancient Key.
Clock Tower
- Open the gate to the cathedral on the top floor and defeat the Tape Keeper.
What about the Quit Smoking achievement. This has been missed…
